COVID-19 Response: Keeping Our Community Connected
The Greater Gig Harbor Foundation recognizes that COVID-19 and the needed public health measures to help address it are disrupting the normal operations of our community’s nonprofit organizations, service providers and agencies. From interruptions to vital support services for those in need to our seniors, to closures and the cancellation of fundraising events, these interruptions expose where our social systems are not supporting or addressing needs in a comprehensive and equitable way.
These challenges illustrate how precarious the social safety net is and the shortcomings of existing services to meet needs through times of crisis.
GGHF is committed to supporting our greater Gig Harbor and Key Peninsula community during this time by offering a community response page for area nonprofits and community service providers to share cancellations or disruptions to their regular schedules, postponed events or activities, and alternatives or solutions being offered due to COVID-19.
